I think what he meant is there a way to use the base JSF datatable and have the columns sortable. And that answer is no, however there are a few third party components out there that make one. Although, I can't think of one of those off-hand, that was why I wasn't answering this thread before. I know RichFaces is working on one, or might already have one.
