I have a bunch of tree node components on a page that executes the treeNode_action method associated with that particular tree node when I click on it and displays the results in my Results.jsp(via page navigation xml) in a new window.

Problem is if I go back to that original page and click another tree node component, then it will execute that action, AND afterwards, it will execute the tree node action of the one I previously clicked.

I've tried calling every destroy() method there is but it still executes 2 treenode actions(The first tree node action I clicked and then also the current one).

Anyone got any ideas. I can't have it executing any other tree node action than the one I click. Is it holding on to references somewhere and if so then what can I call to refresh the page or something?? I'm going mad here.

Here is my page navigation xml

<faces-config>
<navigation-rule>
<from-view-id>/FunctionalityCheck.jsp</from-view-id>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>success</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/Results.jsp</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>fail</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/Results.jsp</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
</navigation-rule>
<faces-config>

Page java code: http://pastebin.ca/726955
Page jsp code: http://pastebin.ca/726957

There is obviously alot more code involved, but these are the main 2. All of the action code that I am trying is just in treeNode9_action and treeNode10_action.

If you can figure this out then I owe you a big moosehead beer!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
