When I use binding via a managedBean, should I bind a <h:inputText-Tag via UIInput or via HtmlInputText ?

I know that UIInput is the superclass of HtmlInputText, but what is better for using? (performance, ...)

Look at that:

<h:inputText binding="#{bean.name} .../>

should I bind this with this:

or should I bind it whith that:

What is better???

Performance has nothing to do in your case (I think).
Simply use the HTML classes if you want to manipulate HTML attributes in your backing beans.

Agree.

Can also be done through UIComponent#getAttributes(), so this is not really an issue.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
