New to JSF. Have extensive expertise in Struts. Could anybody please recommend the following:
1. What version of JSF is supported by RAD 7?
2. Please list the different open source components that can be used.
3. Recommended books.
4. Book that has a tutorial zipped.
5. Recommended readings in web, along with that of Sun.
Please provide any other information relevant to learning JSF.

Depends on Servlet/JSP API version. If it is at least Servlet 2.5 / JSP 2.1, then you can use JSF 1.2, otherwise 1.1. Although if you're using Facelets instead of JSP as view technology, you can use JSF 1.2 with Servlet 2.4.

You can use any component library to your taste, as long as you don't mix JSF implementations. E.g. don't mix Sun Mojarra and Apache MyFaces and so on. Use one JSF implementation. Almost all component libraries are open source. Just check their homepages.

3. Recommended books.
JSF: The Complete Reference. One of its authors, Ed Burns, is the lead of the JSF specification.

4. Book that has a tutorial zipped.
No idea.

5. Recommended readings in web, along with that of Sun.

JSF Specification Document (pick 1st download) explains why JSF is there, how it works and what it all provides.
JSF API Documentation contains detailed javadocs of the JSF API classes, it explains where the classes are for, how to use them and what all fields/methods do.
JSF Tag Library Documentation shows which JSF tags are all available, what they all do and which attributes they supports.
Sun Java EE Tutorial part II chapter 10 and on contains Sun's own JSF tutorial.

RAD itself comes with lot of JSF examples.

In RAD, Click Help >Tutorials Gallery you will find good examples there.
