Hello.

I have a Limit object which stores name (String) and max quantity (Long) of something. This part of jsp should let user edit max quantities for existing limits.

However this doesn't work. The setter method of limit object are called. The #{bean} is in the request scope.

Thanks for advices.

Change the scope to session as the request scope bean will get vanished as soon as the response is sent. So if you want to refer it again you will not get that bean there.

Thanks for suggestion.
There is no other possibility? Because I don't want this bean in session scope. After submit, the new session scoped bean should return same data from getters (data from databse, inited on bean creation).

IN that case you can pass the parameters in the request and can extract their value in your backing bean.

This is what I do. I initialize my backing bean by ID passed as parameters. How can it help me with this problem? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how can it help me.
Thank you.
