JPOX question

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi, I started to learn JDO and I was searching for an open source implementation. I heard about "JPOX implementation" and I downloaded it. But, I have many problems to set it. Have you tutorials or samples more detailed than the jpox site have it?.

Thanks.!!!

Hi

I can't help you with JPOX configuration, although I can certainly ask some of the JPOX developers to have a look at thi forum if you wish.

You could get a free evaluation copy of Kodo from www.solarmetric.com. The documentation is comprehensive, and you can get a PDF copy of my book as well.

Since JDO is a standard, most of the examples in the various books and product documentation sets should work seamlessly with any compliant implementation, although naturally more advanced examples start to get into product-specific features.

Let me know if I can help further.

Kind regards, Robin.

Hi Erik,
Basically, I want some examples about the JPOX implementations. I try some examples from JPOX site, but is not clear for me. At this moment I am reading the book of Robin. but if you have any sample, tutorial or document about JPOX implementation, I will to appreciate it.

Thanks.

There are fully working samples to be downloaded in the JPOX site. Together with the Robin Ross's book you can learn the JDO standard features. For further optimization and additional features, you can read the JPOX documentation.

Robins book is really good to start learning but i also recommend looking at examples and reading the documentation for the specific implementation.
Also when you tried one implementation and you think you understand the basics try switching to another .. you will probably get a few new problems but you will have learned alot and can start picking your favorite implementation. I can recommend trying out lido, kodo, jdogenie and jpox.
Forget this weirdo. You guys wanna see something really neat? I just have to take off my shoe .... (hint: it's a tiny ad)
