Hello,

Does anyone know a free DAO for JDBC code generator (which takes the class and generates JDBC DAO code and classes for it)?

There was an online code generator which was very good but you can not trust that it will be there forever.

I have done this for PHP manually but it is hard to do this for big java classes.

Regards,
Mac

I finally obtained "Firestorm DAO" generator. Though I just needed JDBC-DAOs it can generate JDO, EJB and in near future hibernate.

There's a new open source DAO Generator for Java at SourceForge.

The project home page is at http://mdaog.sourceforge.net/

It's still in early stages but the generated sources are very usable.

Yeah I wrote it

Tom and Saimak,

Please change your display name to meet the JavaRanch Naming Policy, which requires to use your real first and real last names. You are currently using last name inital, which violates our policy.

Click on the My Profile link and change your display names.

Thanks

Mark

The DAO- generator at https://dao-generator.dev.java.net is a good tool to generate JDBC code. Can try it.

Cheers,
