Hi Sir!

I'd like to ignore the traditional mapping files, and use only the new annotation based
entity mapping in my next hibernate project.
I have checked hibernate org, and find an alpha release of hibernate annotations(and an ejb3 early acces lib inside).
Do you think i could use this stuff right now for simple mappings, or wait until the new ejb spec evolve further?
I'm pretty confused because the hibernate3 reference doesn't say a word of it, just shows the mapping file based approach.
I would like to see a a real world working app based on the new technology. Could you show me one?

thanks

You are unlikely to get till JSR 220 is finalized. Its a bit of a gamble releasing any software using a beta technology based on an unfinalized "standard".

Yes, but i don't mean any serious stuff, just some simple example.
The mapping annotations seem to be complete enough to get some use of it.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
