Road to Hibernate is pretty good to get started but I suggest buying the book Hibernate In Action.

Hibernate in Action is probably the best known of the Hibernate books.

Yes, I would recommend "Hibernate in Action" also. I am definitely interested in the new "Hibernate Quickly" book as well.
