So I'm digging the object model / relational mapping power of Hibernate but if I've built an object model and somebody does something silly at run time with a collection where the collection is going to return a bazillion (roughly) rows...is there a way that I can get in the middle and throw an exception? I don't want the app hanging just because somebody messed up and tried to do a Set getChild() where the Set is way too big and they need to use a query with ScrollResults instead.

Hi Franck,
We can manage that one on restricting the limited number of childs and indexing over the total numerber of childs, some rough implementation ..
