Better Faster Lighter Java is a nice overview.
My goal in writing POJOs in Action is to go into more detail about Spring, Hibernate, JDO, EJB3 and iBATIS as well as various design issues including business logic organization and encapsulation, database access and concurrency. There are also plenty of code examples that you can download from http://www.manning.com/books/crichardson/source.
So yes, I would very much like to think that my book is an excellent follow up.
