Hi Chris,

I gone through sample first chapter.

For me its new to know that EJB development is equivalent to
procedurial approach. Good catch.

You must write a lot of code to implement EJB : I don't aggree with that
statement. The latest IDEs will do lot of work. We don't need to bother
other then writing business methods.

You have to write DTOS : Yes I agree with that.

Good to know EJB3 started supporting Inheritance.

Banking example is quite interesting to understand the difference
betn POJO and EJBS.

I am not clear with Spring AOP concept?

Good explanation about Dependancy Injection.

Jignesh,

I am pleased to hear that you read the first chapter and found it useful.

Either you or the IDE has to create the code. :-)
And, even if you don't have to look at the code, the process of generating is an extra step that can slow down the edit-compile-debug cycle.
It just seems unnecessary when compared with POJO-related technologies such as Spring or EJB3.

Could you elaborate on what was not clear enough?
The basic idea is that with Spring you write some metadata (XML and/or annotations) that automagically arrange for extra code (transaction management or security etc) to run when your POJOs are invoked.
