This might not be the right place to post this, but going through all the heading in the forum it seemed the most appropriate part of the forum.
I simply would like to thank all the members at JavaRanch for the time taken in helping me to progress (slowly but surely). The last 12 months I have had a lot on and have had to learn other languages and other IT skills.
I have got 5 exams out the way in the last month or so, so I am finding I have more time to spend with
Java. I like the language but I realise how much time I have spent from it. At the moment I am building a GUI which is proving a real challenge. To build a simple GUI is one thing, but to have multiple panels that can talk to each other is hard for me. But I will keep working at it, the hardest thing about Java to me is the shear size of it, the libraries are useful & infinite (almost).
Anyway the point is everytime I have become really, well & truly stuck I have asked on this forum for help. The people here at JavaRanch are the kindest souls I could hope to meet. You are great & the encouragement you provide is truly appreciated. Thanks to the people responsible for creating JavaRanch, their are other Java forums but this is the best. Thanks to all the rest of you for constantly providing the help we need.
I hope everyone here has a good Christmas and the best New Year.
Many thanks once again, Dave.
