Problem with findByExample

Hi all,

I have never had a problem with find by example before, of course until it is important to my project.

I am using hibernate and spring. When I use the find by example it returns the whole collection, instead of a list of items that match the example.

My findByExample method in the dao:

public Collection findByExample(ProjectImpl project) {
return getHibernateTemplate().findByExample(project);
}

My test method:

public void testIS() {
ctx = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext(path);
dao = (ProjectDAOImpl) ctx.getBean("projectDAO");
 
project = new ProjectImpl();
project.setProjectId("IC0000000000");
Collection projects = dao.findByExample(project);
Iterator projectListIterator = projects.iterator();
ProjectImpl listingProject;
 
while (projectListIterator.hasNext()) {
listingProject = (ProjectImpl) projectListIterator.next();
System.out.println(listingProject.getProjectId());
}
}

Is projectId your primary key? findByExample doesnt filter if primary key is used.
