doesnt seem to have a generic API. Any ideas ? Code snippets ?

Okay I fixed it - the Db4o comes bundled with
java 1.1, java 1.2, and 1.5 jars. I had all 3 in a library and was accessing the 1.2 jar which doesnt support generics.

Any body with the same problem - just make sure you use the 1.5 jar and not an earlier version and youll be fine.
