I am using Hibernate with Spring. I converted from MySQL to Oracle10g. I changed the mapping file and spring config to reflect the new database, and it hits it just fine.

When I use the dao to commit something to the database it works. However if anything new hits the database the row disappears. My initial thought is that the persist isn't getting commited. However, having to commit a transaction is not something that is new from MySQL to Oracle. My DAO is below.

How can I get the persists to stay? It's like they are just getting submitted as transient.
