I want to execute an SQL only once and then retrieve the data from cache. I was thinking of a property like "cache=true" in the mapping file. I've read an article about cacheModel, but it was not very clear.

Does the book "iBatis in Action" covers topics like caching ?

In one of the other threads i remember reading that iBatis does not care about object identity. Just out of curiosity, how are the objects cached then, in iBatis?
