Hi.
I'm currently inspecting EJB3 and I faced @PostConstruct annotation.
Is @PostConstruct equivalent to ejbPostCreate( ) in the ex-EJB ?

Yes, that is what it is for, and this should be in the EJB forum.

Actually re-read that part again

"If you are using EJB3 and have a JPA question"

Meaning if you use EJB3's JPA spec, those questions go here, because JPA is an ORM spec. Not all of EJB3.

Actually you can use @PostConstruct only with EJB components (Session beans and MDBs) and for entities you have to use @PostPersist.

Adding a marketing plug for my book, we discuss these aspects in Chapter 14 of the book
