Hi,
I've gone through Mughal's cert book and the one by Sybex. I'm now trying to get a feel for what the exam will be like to determine where I stand. ( I know I need work on java.io and awt and some bitwise stuff).
What I want to know from you guys is what mock exams out there seem to represent best the difficulty of the real Sun test? I've purchased JQPlus and I'm hoping the real test isn't as hard as the first two I've taken there. I've done horribly ( 62, and a 63 ). I don't think those tests give me a true measure of things though as they ask a lot of stuff that won't be asked on the test. The JQ+ tests and explanations are helping me a lot in my preperation but I still want to know which tests are the closest in difficulty to the real thing. (possibly JQplus is?)
I heard the Marcus Green tests are closer to the real thing in difficulty? but weren't those designed before the sun changes last October? Maybe it doesnt matter?
You get the point, I'm just trying to find what mock exams mimic the difficulty of the real test to the closest degree.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Rick

I've checked that link out before, but that page is a bit confusing/misleading.
For one, it only has about 50 records or so. Not complaining as 50 is certainly better than nothing, but I'd also like some more feedback from those that have talked to people or what they have heard.
Secondly, I don't get the JQPlus part. I have JQplus and unless I'm missing something there are 7 tests on there. Is the score on this site their last score? Their best score? Their average? I just don't know.
Thanks, for any other feedback.
Rick

Hi Rick,
It would be very diffcult to capture individual test scores so we've kept it as average score. Obviously, it depends on what people enter but I believe it will give you a rough idea about scores on mock exams and on the actual exam.
HTH,
Paul.

Dear Rick,
Do check JWhiz from www.whizlabs.com/jwhiz . I scored 98%.
The 11 practice tests along with the quick revision tips really helped me besides the marcus green mock exams.
all the best

Hi
In Marcus's exams you don't get asked to provide a specific number of answers (as you will in the real one - eg "select 2 correct answers" etc ) This makes his test somewhat harder. Also a point that I haven't heard voiced too much is that in my opinion you can possibly sit too many mocks which could over inflate your perception of preparedness. In other words, if you do enoungh mock exams a proportion of the same questions pop up. You know the answer so you won't answer it wrong just to spite yourself!
- You have to ask yourself Am I answering because I know the concept or because I remember the question? I would leave Marcus's ones to the end just before the exam for the mere fact that they have been well worked (there will be no errors in them) and well discussed here. The fact that you have to stab at the number of correct answers on some questions balances out the chance of encountering a repeated question from elsewhere
Only my opinion though!
All the best Jim

I even did not try all the mocks (though i tried a lot) and even did not go thru the objectives. Covering Mughal and RHE was my confidence. What u need is analyzing ur doubts after taking the mock (not the mock itself or score in that mock). Don't give MARCUS now, appear them just 3/4 days be4 actual exam....
Wish u best in ur exam.
