Hi

I am using Hibernate and have created a Transient variable in my Entity Bean.

My question is that is after loading the data from database , if i make a change in that Transient varible then that object is eligible for Dirty Checking or not.

Hibernate will only "dirty-check" the mapped values. So if you transient var is not mapped, then it won't mark it as dirty.

Thanks a lot Mark. It cleared my doubt fully.

Thanks.
