Thank you all for the nice words... Really appreciated.
Now this is where the fun begins. As I wrote my 1000th post on my birthday and found that pleasant, how to make a rule of it, something like assert(getPostsOnMyBirthday() % 1000 == 0) ? By slowing down or shifting gears a bit ?
Best regards,
Phil.

Thanks Map !

So how old are you.

I just turned 44 on January 7.
Now I must confess that I cheated a bit ( ) in my 1000th post/birthday story : it was still my birthday at JR time, but not here in Brussels anymore . Anyway, in the middle of a post to JR, *where* are you really ?
Best,
Phil.

Congratulations, Phillipe. You pose a nice programming problem, but we overlook an obvious problem with the problem domain. Given that you joined in June 2003 and hit 1000 posts January 10th, your rate of posting seems to be about 2000 posts a year. Reaching your goal will therefore will require you to cut your rate of posting or redefine your birthday.
I suggest the latter. Whenever you reach 2000 posts, celebrate your birthday. Have a Kreik or five.
Bruxelles time is not appropriate in this case, JR time is. Pacific Standard Time, I think.
