Hi,

I am writing a .cobol file from Java (using Java CAPS). I want to write mainframe high values in it. There is an API provided by Java CAPS but it seems to be not working as it writes a character having hex value 6F but actual hex value of high value character is FF.

I am confused how to write high value in Java. When file gets tranferred to mainframe host it should show hex value as FF.

So far, I understood a lot about EBCDIC enccoding and using CP1047 encoding for conversion.

But somehow am not able to get it working as I don't know what character I should write.

Please help.

Thanks,
Amol.
