Hibernate SessionFactory Problem

Hi all,

I've been using Hibernate for a while - both in standalone apps and in webapps that build on top of the JSDK 1.5 and also include the Apache Xerces libs 2.9.

After having left my project on the side for quite a while, I started reworking on it. My hibernate does not work anymore. I keep on getting the following exception:

Initial SessionFactory creation failed.java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/dom4j/DocumentException

Obviously I could download dom4j and be rid of the exception but I'd like to know why suddenly it's referring it. Where are DOM implementations explicitly referenced?

Thanks for clarifications,
David.

Well, maybe before it wasn't going to through an exception that it couldn't read your mapping file, so it never needed that class before.
