Should I need to have knowledge of EJB to work on Hibernate?

Hi All,
I'm new to Hibernate. However I have good knowledge only on Session beans(
EJB
2.0)
Should one has to know entity beans or EJB to work on hibernate?
Could you suggest me a book on 'hibernate', which has to be as good as Head First?

You don't need any knowledge of entity beans to use Hibernate (except, perhaps to appreciate how much better a solution it is
).
I can recommend Hibernate In Action. Its fairly comprehensive.

Hey there,
You don�t need any experience at all of EJB. Although version 3.0 would be beneficial as it will shorten the learning curve.
