Hi authors

In your view, should we use JPA and Hibernate together? I found it's much cleaner.

thanks in advance

Hi Anthony,

Both JPA and Hibernate provides persistence and ORM. You can use any one of them. Here JPA contains the features which are there in all the popular ORM frameworks.

Be aware that EBJ 3.0 describes a subset of what Hibernate can deliver. There are also some minor differences in the way the subject is handled and defined.

Hibernate itself provides a persistence mechanism that is very elegant and easy to use. Plus, it solves many common problems that people encounter when persisting data, so the answer to the question about using it or not is YES, YES, YES - you should definitely use it, or at least consider it. No one product is the right solution to every problem, but Hibernate can and has been used in many different applications with great success.
