Does Hibernate dominate the ORM market in these days?

My question is what else we have in practice in stead of everything in Hibernate.

    Object-relational mapping isn't anything new. I remember various Java objects and managers VisualAge for Java provided to do just this, long before even the EJB spec was released. So, there are many technologies that have come and gone.

    As an independent contractor, I always keep my eye on the want ads, trying to control a little bit the direction my career path takes. I can certainly say that in the Toronto area, Hibernate is one of the more popular technologies for which clients are asking.
