Hibernate for Flat files

Is it possible to Use an flat file or csv kind of stuffs in hibernate for an input instead of database.

Hibernate really is a database technology, and it uses a JDBC driver to map to the persistence store, so, I haven't seen anything that will fit your requirement.

Some suggestions are to just parse the XML file and put it into a hyperion database running in memory. Then you could use Hibernate.

I do recall a thread about someone creating a JDBC driver for XML files, but I'm really not too sure how that is going.
