Hi,

I'd like to know which of the several persistence frameworks(Hibernate, iBatis, etc) you consider the most easy to learn and work? Or using pure JDBC is the best way many times?

Thank you.

Hope you don't hate the "it depends" answer, but unfortunately, that is all I can give.

The Persistence in the Enterprise book is all about the questions to ask to help you determine which will be easiest for your culture and environment, taking the kinds of applications you will likely build into primary account.

See Chapter 4 for how we captured these questions in one place to drive the templates use dfor comparions in Chapters 5-10. Chapter 10 has a summary of the answers for JDBC, iBatis, Hibernate Core, Open JPA and PureQuery.

Hope this helps a little.

Ok then, Geoff
