Hi Everybody,

The Session interface exposes two distict replicate() methods as follows:

public void replicate(Object object, ReplicationMode replicationMode)
public void replicate(String entityName, Object object, ReplicationMode replicationMode)

what is the difference, what does each parameter mean?
I appreciate if someone can help me

Regards,
Alireza

Is this Hibernate we are talking about? If it is, the JavaDocs explain what the parameters mean.

Hi Dear,

I'm using two databases in my project. One is old and one is new. The old one is the database that acually contains my data. But new one has been designed based on the application improvements and new requirement.
I want to replicate data. However, I do not know which replicate method fit with my requirments. The Hibernate documentation is weak about this subject. It does not describe what the meaning of the "String entityName" apears as the arguement in the replicate method.

public void replicate(String entityName, Object object, ReplicationMode replicationMode)

Can you please tell me if you know?
