I'm connecting to oracle 9.2.0.1 enterprise edition on win 2000
I'm using hibernate3.jar:

I found an error when connecting to DB that I not find when I connect on Oracle 9.2.0.4 on win 2000 server.
The error is:

Is this a problem between jdbc drivers and oracle 9.2.0.1 with hibernate ???
The error is due to oracle release ?

It would appear you have no JDBC driver for Hibernate to use in your classpath. That or your JDBC URL syntax is wrong.

yes, but if I use the same configuration on a different Server, 9.2.0.4 it works.

Your notification is right, I have the jdbc jar in my class path.
Maybe it could be the connection string that could be not correct.
This is not a hibernate problem for you, it's a jdbc driver problem

Some pecularity of the JDBC driver you are using then perhaps? The error is a JDBC driver issue, for which 99% of the time there are only the two possible reasons (mentioned above). Which driver are you using? I'd use the latest one you can - older Oracle drivers do have some issues.
