Hi,
Recently i visited http://uddi.microsoft.com . It was like universal yellow pages . Can't figure out how it relates to developers.What kind of development one can do with it and how does it relates with e-commerce / web development .

It is a Universal Description, Directory and Integration language. This is like a yellow page of B2B eCommerce.
You can publish your web services and search for WebEnterprises and their web services

Pages are not only Yellow - they also White & Green .
White pages - Info about service provider
Yellow - Business categories
Green - Service descriptions , Binding info , Agnostic info ..how to's

I don't know the term "green pages".
TO my understanding:
* white pages - name server where the client knows where to find* yellow pages - directory server where client searches or browses via categories.

the reference to "green" pages is the registry of Web services associated with a business. So if the white pages are the business registrations, and the yellow pages connote an organization scheme (taxonomy) of businesses and services then green pages are the registry of services.
