Web Services means any kind of services reachable thru Web. Like HTTP service(what makes the Web),Mail servcie,Usenet,Hosting etc...are part of Web Services though not all of them are HTTP services...
I think any king of Web Services that are not the focus in other forums of JavaRanch should be discussed in this forum. Like i have 1 question here....
I know Apache Web Server for Windows platform is an experimental web server targetted only to Windows NT Server 4.0 or Windows 2000 Server (not Win98 or ME). It requires NTFS permissions to work properly. My question is can i work with apache in FAT16 file system? It installs very well and has a built in Servlet/JSP engine. I want to use servlets in this apache without installing Tomcat here.
I have installed Apache in my F:\Apache which has FAT16 filesystem. Now tell me the enviromental variables to be set...and where to place my compiled Servlet classes.

You might have a look at the thread Webservices url's. We are starting to build up a list off resources. They have not been checked/evaluated yet but maybe there is something you could use.
Good Luck
