sorry if this has been already covered...but why do some posts not get "wrapped" automatically....makes life easier, doesn't it??? or is it a problem with all big posts???
an example :

The normal text in the posts will be wrapped automatically.
This problem occurs when the CODE tags are used. Since the CODE tag maintains the format, the text inside the CODE tags are not wrapped, even if the line is too long.
So, if you are posting some code inside the CODE tags, make sure that you break the line manually.

Word wrapping doesn't work inside [code] tags. Instead, lines are written exactly as they were originally formatted. Unfortunately, if just one line inside code tags is really long, that forces the entire page to be wide enough to contain the one long line. Once that happens, there's no (or less) word wrapping on all the other lines too, because each line will use all available horizontal space before wrapping to the next line.
Bartenders and sheriffs can fix this by editing posts, once they see it. (I'm about to fix the one you asked about, once I post this.) However it's helpful if posters remember not to make their lines too long. You can edit your own posts after you post them, if you see that a line was too long.
