Hello all,
So I'm working with Axis a little here and there, as I can't stand writing Soap clients as they are under Apache SOAP 2.2. However, I'm having great difficulty running anything but the simplest of methods. I can run the example provided at JavaWorld, I can write a simple HelloAxis method, but anytime I get into some of my production services, it bombs almost instantly. After some debugging, I'm thinking that it isn't even getting to the service. I seem to be getting a lot of IllegalArgumentException as I try different solutions. Anyone else run into these types of problems?

It certainly is hard to tell exactly where SOAP applications go wrong, especially if you are limited to watching what a client reports.
For this reason I wrote a utility that can trap the full text of both the client request and the server response. It will also let you change the text of a request and send it without even using a client. Free download at:
Bill's Soap Resources
This helps to eliminate at least some of the variables.
