Just go to the Apache SOAP website and read the documentation -- it comes with several samples of using it... If you still need more help, take a look at Bill Brogden's book, or James Snell's book, both of which cover using Apache SOAP with Tomcat.

I thought Apache SOAP was old. The newer version is Apache axis at xml.apache.org/axis. Userguide on this website has many working examples.

Axis is certainly going to be the way to go eventually, but how close is it to a final release? Last I looked it was still a beta.

Bill:
Are you suggesting that JAXM, JAXB, JAX-RPC, and
JAXR may not stay? Thanks.

I have the same question as Jim does. I think JAX* API will stay but it is little surprising to see nobody has started implementing these APIs yet (may be because they are in their early versions). Even axis website says implementing those is low priority!!!
