RedHat 7.3
TOMCAT 4.0.4
SOAP 2.3
I wrote a HelloWorld.class(placed in /soaptest) and deployed it. Then try to call it through SOAP.
But "Unable to resolve target object" message was got.
I know I should setting HelloWorld.class in CLASSPATH.
I modified /etc/profile, add a line:export CLASSPATH=/soaptest:$CLASSPATH
But I got the same message.
Then I try /etc/rc, /etc/tomcat4/tomcat4.conf and /etc/init.d/tomcat4. But I got the same message.
Any one can tell me how to set HelloWorld.class in CLASSPATH?
Thanks in advanced.

According to axis documentation u don't need to set classpath for helloworld class if its in web-inf/classes directory of /soaptest.
Try to follow the axis documentation(user-guide.html) and build ur application,it worked for me.
if not please postt at what stage u r getting this error.
