I am about to start learn web service and practice. I have experience with servlet, jsp, also some knowledge of EJB. Now I want to know ---
1. If my application does NOT require EJB and is only web application, for example, my servlet/jsp application built on Tomcat or Jrun, if I want to use web service to build a similar application, what extra "tools" do I need ?
2. If my application uses EJB and it is built on BEA application server, suppose I want to use web service to build a similar thing, what extra "tools" do I need ?
Maybe I haven't gotten the point yet so my question may not make sense at all. please help if you can.

As so often is the case, the Jakarta/Apache project's implementation is the preferred implementation to learn with. In the case of Web Services, it's Apache Axis.
How to use Web Services to build your web application? Well, the most common use for Web Services is to publish some existing functionality to the public, not to implement that functionality as such.

Hi Steve,
Maybe TME's glue is another good option to start with.
