Hi,
If bea Weblogic web service using SOAP,
does it mean the client request has to be in xml format, ie; manually constructed xml format file?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, client requests to web services that use SOAP have to be in correct XML format. This can be done "manually" or using one of the many SOAP toolkits to create the query.
Look at xml.apache.org for the Axis and SOAP toolkits or at www.themindelectric.com for the GLUE package.

Ok, thanks,
basically what you're saying is that, using SOAP toolkit, you don't have to construct your own xml (for client to send request to webservice).
All I have to do is call the method available in WSDL file?
Thanks in advance.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
