Please give a big welcome to the authors of "Developing Java Web Services," Ramesh Nagappan and Robert Skoczylas.
At the end of the week, everyone who posts an on-topic post in this forum will be eligible to win one of four copies of their excellent book. See this page for more info about our book promotions and how to be eligible to win:
http://www.javaranch.com/bookpromo.jsp
The JavaRanch reviewer of the book (me) gave it an excellent rating of 9 horseshoes and said, "For developing Java web services you will be hard pressed to find a better book than this one."
Remember, posts in this thread are NOT eligible to win. So say hi to the authors here and then post a new topic to ask your questions.

Thanks for the invitation and the opportunity extended to us. It is really a great pleasure joining JavaRanch and especially participating in this discussion forum.

No. The book focussed to Java Web services APIs defined by JCP particularly Sun JWSDP.
WSIF is an IBM Alphaworks project (discontinued) and it is donated to Apache. Current it does not follow any API specs defined by JCP.

Hi,
There is very few information on this book on the Amazon site (2 pages). Can you post here the book TOC, and give us an idea on more general scopes treated (UDDI...). Thanks.

I second that. I already have a couple of WS books (although the other one is kind of useless...) so I'm quite selective about subsequent titles on Web Services. The TOC (as detailed as possible) would be great.
