axis and jax-rpc

hello
what's the difference between apache's axis and sun's jax-rpc,i mean if they are different implements to the webservice standards or one is based on other?

Jax-RPC is a specification.
Axis is an implementation based on Jax-RPC and other speifications (saaj for instance)

the webservice developed by using axis can run on different platform,but the jwsdp's production only can run on tomcat and sun one app server,is that true?
