London Map Information as a Web Service

Hi
I am looking for any publically avaliable web service (free) that will provide with map information for London(UK).
I am developing an application that provides maps and location searchs, for developing this application I was thinking of HTML scraping some sites like www.streetmap.co.uk or someother site, but trust me it is really a pain.
I was wondering if there was any web service that would provide the same information that would really help me a lot.

I had a look through that site( quite impressive ) but I cant get anything for london. I guess I will have to go down the screen scraping route and either create a web service or just my own custom protocol.
