Say if my service interface returns a custom-defined value type, where should I put the type definition? How do I let the service know where to find it? And more important, how can the client know the existence of this type? The tutorial only talked about what types are supported, but didn't say anything about how to use a custom defined type. Many thanks to anyone who can help!
axis provides java2wsdl and wsdl2java tools which can help you generate code binding with server and client. I am not good at English, and can't say more detail here. maybe you can get some advice by serach it on google.
May I know which tutorial you are referring to ? If it is with Apache Axis, then you will specify your custom datatypes in your service definition(WSDD) file.
If you use AXIS, You will need specify mapping between the WSDL type and your java class. This mapping should be defined in the wsdd file. If you have question, write me a mail. I will send you an example.
