Even though I found this excerpt from http://www.serviceoriented.ws, can we still have some more sample chapters in PDF format? Or is it the only excerpt available for us to taste the book?

You many win the book, so why do you need sample chapters?

I usually read the sample chapters and got bunches of questions to ask here... If someone have nothing to ask and answer, how can he/she win the book...

So it's better, if we can get the sample chapters and raise the questions here... I do believe that, by reading the sample chapters, we are still left with many questions unanswered by the book... It's a good chance to ask the author directly here in the Ranch...

But still there is no reason to ask for more sample chapters if you are already reading some and intending to win the book! I would assume they won't release more sample chapters, but thats just me....

There is one more sample chapter available. It deals solely with integration issues between XML documents and relational databases. Since service-oriented architectures rely on foundation XML data architectures, this book has a series of chapters dedicated to XML integration issues. This particular chapter was made available for a specific partner site, and therefore no links to it are published on the publisher's Web site. However, I see no problem in sharing this with you. It's located at: http://www.serviceoriented.ws/sampledb.asp Have a look, but keep in mind that Web Services are not really discussed in this part of the book.

Dave:
I'm not asking the author for more sample chapters, but I'm wondering if there are any available sample chapters for this book, as there are usually in most of the books. I do believe that even the author does not have authority to publish the sample chapters from the book without publisher's permission.

Mr.Thomas:
Thank you very much for the link to chapter-7... And the topic itself is also interesting and I hope there might be some questions raised from this chapter in the Ranch as well...

Due to magazine size limitations, the book excerpt published on the Application Development Trends Magazine site contains only a subset of Chapter 13 (this is the excerpt to which a link on www.serviceoriented.ws is published). The complete Chapter 13 was distributed to other sites, including PerfectXML, at http://www.perfectxml.com/bestpractices.asp
