Hi Ilja, I'm curious to know if javaranch provides a "view" wherein i can check all my postings (threads started by me) across all forums at a single place. I have experienced the same thing before. Looks like, it happens if you delete one of your threads. It is trying to show you that thread, but since that thread is deleted, it is showing some other thread. It is my guess.
Also, if you wish to keep track of the threads that you start, you can mark the "notify me by email" when you post your first post in that thread. However, this only works if you are the first poster in the thread.

I think the notification service should be available to all users, so that anyone can mark the threads he/she is interesting in... Just a suggestion...
