Admin Client: Exception (401)Unauthorized problem

I installed Axis and everything is working fine (Axis Happy page).
However, when I tried to deploy a sample app, by running:

java org.apache.axis.client.AdminClient deploy.wsdd
Processing file deploy.wsdd
Exception:: (401)Unauthorized

Any ideas why?

whats your application server?

If it is Tomcat, then the admin deploy should work, if it is other engine then you have to use the -l option

java -cp %AXISCLASSPATH% org.apache.axis.client.AdminClient
-lhttp://localhost:8080/axis/services/AdminService deploy.wsdd
