All,

I'd like to learn web services using Apache Axis and I was wondering if this book is a good start? I haven't seen the book listed in the book reviews section yet. Or is the documentation on Apache's website good enough to get me started? Thnxs

I found the tutorials on Sun's site (coupled with a few books I grabbed off eBay) were sufficient to get me started. With that as a base, following the documentation at Apache's site for Axis was fairly easy, and setting it up was painless.

(But, to answer at least part of the question, I don't know that just the documentation at Apache's site would be sufficient, no.)

I plan to buy: J2EE Web Services by Richard Monson-Haefel. I'll check the tutorials on Sun's site and go from there. thnxs

This is the best book about Web Services I've read so far (out of 4 or 5)
So go ahead, you won't regret it

Where is the author for this week? I don't see any posts answered by him.

I thought that was kind of odd myself, but chalked it up to 'all of us are busy this time of year'...
