Hi,

I have an XML file, say foo.xml. I also have a schema for that file. I want to verify the XML file is compliant with the schema. I have two questions:

1) Where can I get my hands on a tool or web site to verify the xml document? Is this something I have to do with Java?

2) Am I using the right terminology to say "verify", or is there another term for this checking?

The xml document seems to be well formed, but I don't know if it is correct.

Thanks for helping a newbie.

Here is something I haven't used it so I can't say anything about it.
I think the word you want is validate.

Hello charles
SUN Studio's FORTE IDE has a built in support tool for you to validate and check XMl documents

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
