Other forums such as sun's java forum, and the serverside allow a site user to easily see what there most recent postings are ('watches' on the sun forums). Sun even emails when a thread you posted to is posted to by another user. Javaranch has no easy way to look at all your postings or to know which ones have been updated since you last posted. The only way I know how to do this is to find a recent posting and then select on view 'recent postings' by your user account at that point. This is cumbersome.

Well, I can save you the "find one of your posts" part: see that "My Profile" link up there, across from the Moose?
Also see this thread..

Links are here, too, just not as obvious.
On the main forum page, see the link on the far right side, just above the brown bar that says "Hello steve souza" called Today's Active Topics. There is also a link to this list of recent postings on the JavaRanch home page on the right hand side under Active Forum Quick Links.

This UBB forum will email you if you tell it to every time a person posts to a thread that you start, but not just any thread that you post to.

Hi Steve, from what I have been informed, the new improved version of the ranch will have these capabilities. When, is the question.
