Hi,

As per my understanding, UDDI registry was done through registering into one of the companys registry sites like IBM, Microsoft. But now it looks like that process is changing and there will be one centralized location. Can you please clarify what is happening?

UDDI is a standard that a web service registry needs to follow. Anyone can run a registry using UDDI (e.g., there is an open source project called jUDDI from Jakarta that does this). There were attempts at centralized registries, but largely they have been given up, or have not had the success that was hoped for. Part of the reason for that is that UDDI as a whole has not taken off as was once thought.
