I am using WSIF on the client side to invoke a webservice using ApacheSOAP engine. The webservice is document/literal based. The authentication information needs to be passed in the soap header.

I found that the ApacheSOAP provider in the WSIF doesn't support soap headers for document/literal style so I did some modifications on the apache soap provider class to include the header information. The client web application is deployed on WAS 5.0 which comes with its own version of wsif.

Is there any way that I can use this changed class file in my application and rest of the classes from the original jar file, I don't want to replace the jar file in WAS. I tried creating a new jar with the changed file and keeping it local to the web project but it gives problems while serialization. If I replace the WAS wsif.jar then it works fine.

Has anyone tried something like this?

Regards
Deepak

Hi,

Can anyone tell me or provide some sample regarding how to add credential in WSIF client to invoke protected web services?

Thank you

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
